Meet Ed Whitaker
Raymond (Ed) Whitaker
Raymond (Ed) Whitaker has proudly served clients of The First National Bank in Tremont since 1997. His affiliation with the bank began when he was asked to establish and manage a financial services division to provide its customers with convenient – and wide-ranging – financial consultation.
My goal is to stay in step with your changing circumstances and goals, the availability of new products, varying conditions in the financial markets and changes in tax law. Our main focus is working with clients who are approaching or beginning retirement, helping them not only get to retirement, but through retirement. I have many years of experience working with local retirees of such companies as Caterpillar and Keystone.
Whitaker has been in the insurance and financial marketplace since 1979. He is licensed to offer a wide range of financial and retirement planning solutions and prides himself on a results-focused approach. A graduate of Bradley University, his professional designations include: Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow.
Active in the community, Whitaker is on the board of the Dirksen Congressional Library Board. In the past, he has served on the Pekin Police Pension Board and was a board member for the Pekin Boys and Girls Club. A Pekin resident since 1957, he and his wife, Kim, have two married children, Nicklaus and Samantha, and a grandson, Parker, and granddaughter, Eva. A competitive golfer, he has won the Pekin City title seven times and finished in the Top 10 in the Illinois State Amateur four times. In 2014, Ed won the title of Illinois Senior State Amateur.
